Living in Sunrise City

Sunrise City is a Novaland development of apartment towers on Nguyễn Hữu Thọ in Tân Hưng, District 7, built in three groups of towers called South, Central and North. Its first residents moved in in July 2012 and the last towers were finished in 2015, with shops, services and a pool in the podium and Lotte Mart District 7 across the road.

People who want a home in District 7 with a supermarket, a cinema and shops across the road, a quick trip north over the Kênh Tẻ Bridge towards District 4 and District 1, and families with children at VAS Sunrise.

Inside Sunrise City

  • South Towers: The first group to be finished, lived in from July 2012; tower V5 is one of them.
  • Central Towers: Four towers in the middle of the complex, with about 800 apartments.
  • North Towers: The northern group of towers, nearest Sunrise CityView.

Schools, health and shopping

  • Shopping: The podium under the towers holds a service centre of more than 60,000 square metres with banks, shops, restaurants and beauty services, and Lotte Mart District 7, with a department store and a cinema, is across Nguyễn Hữu Thọ.
  • Healthcare: An international clinic was among the services in the podium when the first towers opened in 2012.
  • Schools: A kindergarten is in the podium, and the Sunrise campus of Vietnam Australia International School (VAS), teaching kindergarten to high school since 2014, is nearby in the Him Lam residential area.
  • Sport: The complex has an outdoor swimming pool and a gym.
  • Transport: City buses stop outside on Nguyễn Hữu Thọ, at the stops named for Lotte Mart.

Getting there

  • By road, about 5 km to Bến Thành Market (5 to 10 minutes) and 12 km to Tân Sơn Nhất Airport (15 to 20 minutes), with no traffic.
  • Nguyễn Hữu Thọ, part of the city’s north to south road axis, runs north over the 763-metre Kênh Tẻ Bridge to Khánh Hội in District 4, the way to District 1.
  • Nguyễn Thị Thập meets Nguyễn Hữu Thọ at the complex, by Lotte Mart.

Good to know

  • Novaland has several projects with similar names: Sunrise CityView, just north on Nguyễn Hữu Thọ, and Sunrise Riverside in Nhà Bè are separate developments, so check the name on a listing.
  • The towers were finished in stages between 2012 and 2015, so their age differs by group.
  • Phú Mỹ Hưng, with District 7’s international schools and hospitals, is a separate planned town further south in the district.
