Tây Hồ is where most expats in Hanoi end up, and for good reason. It is also misunderstood by people who have only seen the lakefront. Here is the fuller picture.
Why people love it
Space, light, water views, and the city’s best concentration of western food, coffee, gyms, international schools and serviced apartments. It is the easiest place to land softly, especially with a family.
What nobody tells you
The lakefront streets (Quảng An, Xuân Diệu, Tô Ngọc Vân) are the priciest, and the "Tây Hồ premium" is real. Step a few blocks back from the water and you get noticeably more apartment for your money with the same amenities a short walk away.
Where to look
The east shore around Quảng An and Quảng Bá is the expat core. Nghi Tàm and Yên Phụ trade a little distance for value. Browse apartments for rent in Tây Hồ on Nest, filtered to the budget and lease length that suits you.
Find your apartment the safe way
Verified listings, transparent all-in pricing, English contracts, and no tenant fees. Browse homes or talk to a Nest advisor.
