Bilingual, English and Vietnamese: The Vietnamese national curriculum taught in Vietnamese alongside an international programme in English. Mainly chosen by Vietnamese families and by families staying in Hanoi for the long term.
International Baccalaureate: A not-for-profit programme based in Geneva and taught in thousands of schools worldwide, often shortened to IB. It has three stages: the Primary Years Programme (ages 3 to 12), the Middle Years Programme (11 to 16) and the Diploma Programme (16 to 19), which universities around the world accept. The most portable choice if you may move again.
American curriculum: Grades from kindergarten to Grade 12 and a high school diploma, usually with Advanced Placement courses: university-level classes that American universities give credit for.
